Michael Owen Sartin Obituary, Death – Michael Owen Sartin, a cherished brother and beloved friend, passed away peacefully yesterday morning at his home in Dania Beach, FL, after a courageous month-long battle with illness. He was surrounded by those who loved him most: his devoted partner of 25 years, Derek, and his sister, Shannon Austin Sartin.
Michael was a person who radiated warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His strength and grace in the face of adversity were an inspiration to many. The last time I saw Michael was on his birthday, Thursday before last. Even though his condition was frail, we were able to share some heartfelt moments and communicate, which offers me a small measure of comfort during this difficult time.
In honor of his memory, we will be scattering Michael’s ashes at the serene and majestic Mt. LeConte. This beautiful location, with its breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings, was a place that Michael loved deeply. We will also be holding a memorial service in Norris, where friends and family will come together to celebrate his life and the many ways he touched our hearts.
The exact dates for these events are still to be determined, but we will be sure to announce them so that everyone who knew and loved Michael has the opportunity to pay their respects. Michael’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and enduring friendship. As we come to terms with his passing, we will hold on to the cherished memories we have and continue to find solace in the impact he made on our lives.
His spirit will forever remain a part of us, guiding us and reminding us of the beautiful person he was. May Michael rest in peace, and may we all find comfort in the fond memories we shared with him.
