Kay Phillips Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Kay Phillips, a cherished member of our Mt. Pleasant UMC Preschool community. Over the weekend, Ms. Kay Phillips, who dedicated several years to teaching our 3-year-old class, left us. Her loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew her. Kay Phillips was more than just a teacher. She was a guiding light for countless young children and a supportive friend to many. Her kindness, patience, and passion for teaching left a lasting impression on both her students and their families. She had a special gift for making each child feel valued and loved, and her classroom was a place where learning and joy went hand in hand.

In addition to her professional achievements, Kay was a friend to many and a beloved part of the Mt. Pleasant UMC Preschool family. Her impact went beyond the classroom as she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of working with her. As we remember Kay and her contributions, our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. Her passing leaves a void in our community, but her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire us. Kay’s service will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, at 12:00 p.m. at the Oman Funeral Home, located off Cedar Road.

Following the service, there will be an internment at Chesapeake Gardens Cemetery, which is conveniently located across the street. This will be an opportunity for friends, family, and the community to come together to honor and celebrate Kay’s life and the wonderful impact she had on so many. For those who wish to pay their respects, we encourage you to attend the service and support Kay’s family during this time of grief. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. Kay Phillips made a difference in the lives of many, and while her presence will be sorely missed, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Let us come together to remember the joy she brought into our lives and the positive influence she had on our children and community.
