Rick Mcknight Obituary, Death – A major supporter for education and the arts, Rick McKnight has passed away, and the town of Columbus is in mourning over his unfortunate passing.

As well as being a vocal leader for Partners in Education, McKnight served as president of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Cultural Arts Alliance. He also served as president of both organizations.

In addition to his work as an advocate, McKnight was the proprietor of The Kiddie Shop, a well-known establishment located in the downtown area, and he was also the organist and choirmaster at St. Thomas Episcopal Church for a considerable amount of time.

His wife, Marquette McKnight, was a former newscaster in Columbus who is now assisting in the leadership of the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation. He was married throughout his life.

There has been no public announcement on the reason for Rick McKnight’s passing. It has been less than a year since their daughter was tragically killed in an ATV accident at Steeplechase when she was helping. His passing comes less than a year after that.
