London Izabella-Ryén Gadd Death, Obituary – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of London Izabella-Ryén Gadd, age 12, of Ovid, MI, who left us on Thursday, August 1, 2024. London’s life, though brief, was marked by an abundance of love, joy, and an infectious spirit that touched everyone who knew her. A funeral service to honor London’s memory will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Houghton Chapel in Ovid, MI, at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, August 5, 2024. Rev. Mollie Loveall will officiate the service.
Prior to the service, visitation will take place from 10:30 A.M. until the start of the service at the funeral home, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and share their memories. London was born on February 3, 2012, in Lansing, MI, to Robert Moskaitis and Charay Gadd. She was a beloved student at Ovid-Elsie Area Schools. Known for her vibrant personality, London had a passion for soccer, playing throughout the year with enthusiasm and dedication.
Reading was another of her great loves, and she found immense joy in both stories and the company of little children, always eager to help and bring a smile to their faces. A vibrant and lively spirit, London had a talent for complimenting others and making them laugh, qualities that endeared her to all who met her. She found comfort in her favorite clothing and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from skin care routines to experimenting with makeup.
London had a memorable trip to Mexico, a place she cherished and looked forward to revisiting. London’s faith journey was significant to her. She and her mother were members of House of Prayer in Haslett, where London embraced Christ, a testament to her deep spiritual connection. London is survived by her parents, Charay and Jason Spencer of Ovid, MI; her father, Rob Moskaitis of St. Johns, MI; and her siblings: Charleigh-Rae Gadd of Ovid, MI; Macy Spencer of Ovid, MI; Taylor Spencer of Chesaning, MI; and Logann Spencer of North Carolina. She also leaves behind her nephew
Elliott Hopkins of North Carolina, MI; her grandparents: Charmelle “Grammy” and Ray Gadd of Perry, MI; Beverly “Sue” and Mark Kennard of Lansing, MI; great-grandmother Charlene “Nana” Bragg of Perry, MI; and grandmother Judy Kovarik of Owosso, MI. Additionally, London is survived by special family members, including Avi Gadd and her parents, Justin Gadd and Jolena McAlister of Perry, MI, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Melvin Bragg, and her great-grandparents, Dwight “Lucky” and Carol Gadd. London Izabella-Ryén Gadd will be remembered for her boundless energy, her love of life, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
