Melodi G. Hodges Death, Obituary – Melodi Gaye Hodges, aged 53, of Gillette, WY, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024. Born on August 3, 1970, in Pickens, SC, Melodi was a vibrant soul whose life was marked by her unwavering faith, boundless energy, and dedication to others. Melodi’s early years were spent on the mission field in Mexico and Central America, where she was deeply influenced by the rich cultures and vibrant communities she encountered.

These formative experiences instilled in her a lifelong commitment to service and a love for cultural diversity. Her upbringing in such a dynamic environment fostered a spirit of generosity and compassion that she carried with her throughout her life. After returning to the United States, Melodi pursued her education with zeal. She graduated from Valley Christian School and continued her studies at Pensacola Christian College.

Melodi then earned her Associate’s Degree from Bob Jones University in 1993. Her professional journey began at the James M. Pleasants Company in 1998, where she earned a reputation for her professionalism, warmth, and dedication. Her colleagues and clients alike admired her for the genuine care she brought to her work.

A memorial service to honor Melodi’s life and celebrate her homegoing will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church in Claudville, VA. A private graveside service will follow at a later date. Melodi’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her.
