Kaveon Dux Obituary, Death – Kaveon Dux of Lee County Florida has died unexpectedly, his death was announced following a social media post posted by a very close friend which reads thus “The red orb bounced on the floor in the row of folding chairs in front of us. A tumbling blur pounced on it like a goal-line fumble in the Super Bowl. A toddler’s hand shot up holding the orb in triumph exclaiming, “This is Bob the Tomato and my dad is Tomato Bob!”

This was my introduction to that force of nature known as Kaveon Michael Dux. We got to experience a lot more of Kavvy as he was a member of the Murphy, Fuller, Dux, Callaghan, quadrumvirate AKA part of the “Village” that sociologists ramble on about. Kavvy was always a participant in the programs, parties, and pilgrimages of the village.

Even joined in the Feising and became a medaling step dancer, surprising more than one judge in his career.

A fine debater with an orator’s charm, a gifted savant on the keyboards, and a terror for soccer goalies (College D1 player). There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do well. Except tell jokes, busting a gut laughing just before delivering the punch line.

That laugh, that deep baritone laugh that will echo forever. Kavvy inhaled life in big gulps of joy. Exhaling with such exuberance uprooting even the most stubborn wallflowers to join him in the dance of life. It was a dance that ended way too soon.

When the keen of the banshee reached me, my heart was rent as were a multitude of others. “Tá brón orm!” (Okh, taw brone orr-um) The sadness is on me. There is an antidote – Hope, The hope that in that perpetual light I will feel once again the warmth of that smile.”
