Tommy Thomas Obituary, Death – Tommy Thomas has reportedly died as reported in several social media posts, one of which reads thus “Today is a day that will impact Northside High School forever. This one hit hard I’m still numb and in disbelief this can’t be real. I’m heartbroken that Tommy Thomas is gone.
I had the honor of coaching him, mentoring him, and watching him grow and excel as a student, athlete, and adult. He was like the son I didn’t have. We bonded over silly things, fussed, and got on each other’s nerves, but deep down, I was extremely proud of him.
Every now and then, I would get a status update on Instagram or the occasional “hi” update on a race. I never saw this coming. My heart goes out to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Our emotions are high, and confusion is overwhelming; we will never truly understand why he chose to leave us. I pray that God gives his mom and family peace. This call and text floored me. Not my T4 till we meet again. Fly high young man I love you I’m definitely going to miss you.”
