Carey Crain Obituary, Death – Carey Crain a beloved mother and longtime educator at the Marshall Academy has reportedly passed away as stated in a social media post published on the official school social media page. The cause of her death has not been made known at the time of this report. The post reads thus “The Marshall Academy Family is saddened by the recent passing of Mrs. Carey Crain. Mrs. Crain taught at Marshall Academy for 33 years.

She was a vital member of the MA faculty from 1974-2007. Mrs. Crain taught thousands of Marshall Academy students in upper-level science classes. She also served as Senior Class Sponsor and the Patriot Yearbook Advisor for many years. Recently, after retiring from the Mississippi Public School System, Mrs. Crain served as a Substitute Teacher at MA, and it was great to see her walking the halls once again.

The arrangements for Mrs. Crain are as follows: Visitation is on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 at the Holly Springs Funeral Home. The Memorial service will be on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 2:00 at Christ Episcopal Church. Memorials can be made to the Christ Episcopal Church(Box 596, Holly Springs, 38635).
