Paul Cantwell Obituary, Death – We have been left in a state of tremendous sadness as a result of the news of the demise of Paul Cantwell, who had previously worked for the Tenafly Police Department as a Lieutenant. Throughout the course of his career, a number of officers affiliated with the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) have had the opportunity to become acquainted with “Canty” in a variety of ways.

These include his prompt response to our requests for assistance, his participation in the Police Unity Tour, or by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him at a police funeral. His colleagues at the Environmental Protection Department thought of Canty as a dear friend, and he epitomized the very idea of what it means to be a traditional police officer.

We are going to miss him together as a couple. The officers of the Tenafly Police Department and the officers of the Cantwell Police Department have both received a heartfelt message of condolence from the Englewood Police Department. This heartfelt message was sent by the Englewood Police Department.
