Allison Baker Obituary, Death – The woman who was killed on Thursday, when she and another pedestrian were struck by a vehicle in the Tarrytown district of West Austin, has been identified by the police. Two people and a car were involved in a collision that occurred near the junction of Hillview Road and Greenlee Drive on August 8 at approximately 8:40 a.m., according to the Austin Police Department (APD), which stated that officers responded to the scene.
Both the Austin Fire Department and the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived to the scene, and both departments determined that the two pedestrians were “trauma patients.” Even though there were attempts to save the pedestrian’s life, one of the pedestrians, later determined to be 65-year-old Allison Baker, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Another pedestrian was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in order to obtain medical attention for the severe injuries that they sustained. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. According to the police, the driver did not sustain any injuries or impairments. As part of the investigation, they are assisting. An investigation is being conducted into this collision, which is Austin’s 51st fatal collision of the year and has resulted in 54 fatalities.
