The driver, who has been identified as Fetters, went on driving in the wrong direction after colliding with a BMW. According to them, it took place close to milepost 37. The attempt by Fetters to make a U-turn was unsuccessful, and he was hit by a semi-truck. When the incident occurred, Fetters was then forced into another semi-truck that was parked on the shoulder.
