Dr. Michele Sharkey Obituary, Death – The Littleton, CO community is mourning the unexpected loss of Dr. Michele Louise Sharkey, a cherished veterinarian at Pol Veterinary Services. Michele passed away on July 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to both her human and animal patients. Michele was born on April 8, 1990, in Lansing, Michigan, alongside her twin sister, Grace. She was the daughter of Michael and Tina Sharkey and grew up surrounded by a loving family that included her parents, her sister Grace, and her brother Joseph.
Tragically, Michele’s life was cut short, and she is preceded in death by several beloved family members, including her great-grandmother Mary Perkins, her grandparents Francis and Helen Sharkey, and Eugene and Jeanette Lenneman. She was also preceded by uncles William Sharkey and David Hudson, and her cousin Brandon Sharkey. Recently, she faced the heart-wrenching loss of her cherished kitty, Roxy. Michele’s passion for animals was evident in her work as a veterinarian. At Pol Veterinary Services in Littleton, she was known for her caring nature and dedication to her furry patients. Michele treated each animal with the utmost kindness and professionalism, always striving to provide the best care possible.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Michele was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. Her surviving family members include her parents, Michael and Tina Sharkey; her siblings, Grace and Joseph Sharkey; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-aunts. Michele’s boyfriend, Dillon Glover, also shared in the deep sense of loss felt by those close to her. Michele’s passing is a significant loss to her family, friends, and the many people she touched through her work. Her compassion and dedication to animals made a lasting impact on those she cared for, and her warm presence will be deeply missed.
