The Iowa State Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 18 and 160th Avenue, just east of Algona. Allen was traveling westbound on Highway 18 on his 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a 2024 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 17-year-old, approached the intersection from the south on 160th Avenue.

According to the crash report, the young driver of the Sentra failed to halt at the stop sign, entering the intersection where the devastating collision occurred. Allen’s motorcycle struck the car, resulting in his untimely death at the scene. The identity of the teenage driver has not yet been disclosed.
