Carl was the son of the late Sim Gayhart Jr. and Thelma Jones Gayhart. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lyvenna Duff. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Leslie Gayhart, who was his steadfast partner in life. Their daughter, Casey Gayhart, brought immeasurable joy to Carl’s life and was a source of pride and happiness. Carl is also survived by his brother, Darrell Gayhart, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
