Tina Melville Death, Obituary – Yesterday, the Campbelltown City Kangaroos experienced a profound loss with the passing of Tina Melville. After a short and courageous battle with illness, Tina passed away in the afternoon, surrounded by her loved ones. Her departure leaves a significant void in the heart of the club.
Tina Melville was the epitome of dedication and selflessness. As the matriarch of the Kangaroos, she played an indispensable role in the club’s life, often behind the scenes but always at the forefront of the club’s spirit. From running the canteen on home games to washing jerseys, organizing raffles, and spearheading fund-raising efforts, Tina was a tireless volunteer and one of the club’s most passionate supporters.
Her contributions extended beyond mere tasks; she was a pillar of support and a source of encouragement for players, staff, and fellow volunteers alike. Tina’s commitment to the blue and gold was unwavering, and her influence on the club’s community cannot be overstated. In tribute to Tina’s remarkable contributions and enduring legacy, all teams will wear black armbands this weekend.
A minute’s silence will also be observed during the 1st grade fixture against Camden to honor her memory and celebrate her many years of service. Our heartfelt condolences and thoughts go out to Alex, Rob, Glenn, Bruce, and the entire Melville family during this difficult time. Tina Melville will be remembered with great fondness and respect by all who knew her.
