Peter Gehring Obituary, Death – On the morning of Friday, August 9, officers from the Pennridge Regional Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike. The incident did not take place until the early morning hours.
As soon as the authorities arrived, they found out that a white Toyota Camry had been involved in a collision with a person who was walking over Ridge Road. Injury was sustained by the pedestrian. Peter Gehring, a resident of Sellersville, was identified as the pedestrian of interest after an investigation was conducted.
The pedestrian was reportedly transferred to Grand View Hospital for medical treatment after suffering critical injuries; nevertheless, he finally made the decision to pass away as a result of his injuries. The police report states that the pedestrian made this decision.
Officials have reported that the driver of the Toyota Camry has arrived at the scene of the accident and is offering full cooperation with the investigation that is being carried out by the police. An investigation into the crash is currently being carried out by law enforcement officers from the Pennridge Regional Police Department and the Crash Reconstruction unit of the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
