By winning the Ford Championship at Seville Golf & Country Club on Sunday, Nelly Korda, who was only recently voted the number one player in the world of women’s golf, not only earned her eleventh career championship but also grabbed her third consecutive triumph on the LPGA.

In spite of the difficult conditions in Gilbert, Arizona, the 25-year-old golfer managed to achieve a seven-under-par score of 65 without making any mistakes, so claiming victory over Hira Naveed, an Australian rookie.

In spite of the fact that she began the day two strokes behind the leader, Korda stated afterward that she felt that she had won in a comfortably comfortable manner.

It was without a doubt one of the victories that caused me the least amount of stress today. She remarked, “I played golf in a really solid manner.” “I didn’t make a lot of mistakes, and if I did, it was more of a plain chip than anything else. In general, I was able to make the most of the most of my really nice strokes that I had out there today, and I also made some impressive putts. I couldn’t be happier with how I performed today, especially considering the challenging conditions.

Following her victory at the LPGA Drive On Championship in January, Korda enjoyed a seven-week sabbatical from the game. On March 24, she celebrated her triumphant return at the Seri Pak Championship, which was held in California. She then went on to win the Ford Championship, which was held for the first time this past weekend. As a result of her victory, Korda became the first American woman to accomplish this accomplishment since Nancy Lopez won five consecutive tournaments in 1978. She also became the first woman to win three consecutive starts since the year 2016. Furthermore, she is the first player to win three LPGA Tour titles before April 1st since Yani Tseng did so twelve years ago. Furthermore, she is the first American to accomplish this feat since JoAnne Carner in 1980.

Korda said, “I’m just really enjoying myself out there,” in reference to her remarkable performance in recent times.
“I have a passion for golf. Golf has always been one of my favorite sports. On certain days, it is more difficult than on other days.

The year before was without a doubt one of the more challenging years. Because of things like injuries and other things, I never really got any momentum going. For the previous two years, to tell you the truth.

“I would say that the reset that I had after [the LPGA Drive On Championship] was extremely helpful to me,” she said. I had a wonderful time throughout my vacation. The majority of my time was spent with my family. Traveled back to Prague. I had a little bit of fun with my life outside of golf. It was just a disconnect. In my opinion, that was the ideal way to start fresh before beginning this hectic schedule.

At the end of the day, Korda secured the victory by making two birdies in the final three holes of the round. She was pushed to the finish by Naveed, who was just making her third start on the LGPA Tour, despite the fact that she was the dominant competitor.

“I was just trying to do my best and score as best as I can,” Naveed said to the reporters, as reported by the Tour. “There is great golf out there, great players out there,” Naveed said. “Nelly is an incredible member of the team. To be able to perform on stage with her is truly a privilege. Absolutely, it was a wonderful day. merely failed to meet expectations, but once again, it’s an experience, so we go on.”
